Mercedes-Benz CLS 2012 Review

CLS has created a new class of vehicles in 2003, combines the elegance and power of expression and the coupe with the comfort and functionality of a sedan. CLS has delighted audiences, stunned the competition and created a new style icon: CLS lasted for years as the only four-door coupe in its class, and in October 2004, was the choice of some 170 000 customers drive around the world.

Celebrating its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show (October 2-17, 2010), the CLS-Class 2012 based on the pioneering role of its predecessor with a fresh new interpretation. "The new CLS is showing the way forward for the future perceptible design idiom of Mercedes-Benz," says Professor Gorden Wagener, head of design at Mercedes-Benz. "At the same time, it takes its inspiration from the great tradition of style, refined sportiness that has always been part of the Mercedes cut. "

Proportions remain as strong as ever: long hood, tight style frameless side windows and roof dynamic sweeping back at an angle backwards. The four-door coupé from Mercedes-Benz in 2003 soon sign a new style icon. Although the proportions are the same, the second generation of this model is a trendsetter in a completely new look.



What immediately strikes the eye is an innovative front, reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Visually, the radiator grille is integrated into the hood, but accounted for separately. CLS also lives up to its role in the design icon, the innovative nature of the materials used, such as a mixture of satin and gloss finishes used on metal surfaces. Highlight without vents galvanized perfect complement to any shiny-trimmed analog clock.



The craft perfection is reflected in details such as seat covers and stitched instrument panel. The different parts of the dashboard leather are sewn by hand in a process that takes several hours, after which they are fitted and upholstered with high quality coating. About four skins of animals for each of the CLS. Particularly exclusive 1.6 mm thick semi-aniline leather meets the highest awards, both in look and feel. The porous structure is provided with natural light pigmentation, and skin is very soft and warm feel to it. Premium leather requires a very precise manual selection process, and consequently a large amount of raw leather.



The refined interior of the CLS is also reflected in the generous use of high-quality finishing elements, located on the instrument panel center console and door trim. Customers can choose between high-gloss Burl Walnut high ash brown or glossy black. The tree has been properly fitted around the edges difficult to finish a master hand, and woodwork were matched for grain as part of a sophisticated screening process to create a coherent overall impression.
